William and Shirley Hamilton were very active international pistol, rifle, and shotgun competitors from 1984 to 1997, as you can see from the following list of major matches attended. As well as being an avid competitor, Bill served as gunsmith and product designer during that time. In late 1997 the 70% majority stockholder of CPMi retired and they since have had to dedicate their competitive energies toward the business. The firearm items they present for sale have been proven over time to work reliably and were designed either for themselves, or friends. From 1988-1995 the number of rounds Shirley fired (usually 10-15 thousand per year) are listed below (Bill fired an equal number). That, as well as the championship titles attained, prove that the products they used were truly tested. Shirley earned the support of numerous sponsors such as European American Armory, Western Nevada Bullets, Zero Bullets, Ernie Hill Speed Leather, Safariland, Fiocchi, Springfield Armory, Gary Kimball Gunsmith (A Zone), Pro Ears, G-Squared, Marharlika Sportsmen Shop, and J T Racing…and was even elected the captain of the women’s USPSA Gold Team.
